Das Raumgerät dient der Temperaturregelung des zu beheizenden Raumes. Es fungiert als modulierender Klimaregler und passt die Vorlauftemperatur des Heizkessels an, um die gewünschte Raumtemperatur mit höchstmöglicher Effizienz zu erreichen. In der programmierbaren Ausführung (Chronothermostat) lassen sich zudem Zeitfenster für den Betrieb des Heizkreislaufs und, falls ein Speicher vorhanden ist, die Warmwasserbereitung programmieren. Bis zu drei Raumgeräte können in einem Heizsystem eingesetzt werden.
